Fluid based Inclination Sensor gSENS WGC angle sensors are capacitive based absolute value angle sensors with CANopen interface. The fluid-driven measuring principle, replacing the conventional pendulum drive, avoids mechanical friction and provides better accuracy. Typical applications include determination of a crane boom angle and all kinds of alignment and levelling tasks in mobile machines. These angle sensors are based on a capacitive metercell consisting of two plates positioned in parallel to each other and a fluid which is introduced into the space between these two plates. This fluid-driven measuring principle replaces the conventional pendulum drive.
